Ethnic minorities – North Vietnam (2008)

Vietnam is home to over 54 ethnic minorities. The Black H’mong, Thai, Dzao Tien, Flower H’Mong and Red Dzao are just a few of the tribes found in the North-West part of the country. Most of the tribes live quiet, separate lives away from mainstream, Vietnamese society.

The World Bank agreed last July to embark on a health project for the poorest minorities, backed with a €11.45 million EU grant.
